Observe™ offers a welcome distraction for patients getting an MRI, from the moment they enter the room. The positive visual distraction of a biophilic sky is meant to soothe, while still providing enough observation light for the caregiver.

Observe™ is designed for the strict cleanliness standards of MRI environments. The luminaire is NSF2 listed, featuring smooth, non-porous surfaces and a construction that minimizes areas where dirt or debris can accumulate.

The luminaire must be equipped with an EMI and RFI filter, which can be supplied by Nightingale, to ensure all electrical currents are properly conditioned before entering the MRI room shield. This is designed to help prevent unwanted electromagnetic or radio interference that could disrupt system performance or create imaging artifacts. Also, the driver is installed remotely outside the shielded room to minimize the risk of magnetic and electrical interference, as well as to reduce heat generation near the scanner.

The luminaire is built to prevent interference with imaging performance and avoid safety risks caused by magnetic attraction. Furthermore, Observe uses DC (direct current) power exclusively, supporting the MRI’s need for a low-noise environment to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
